Falling Down

The movie Falling Down starts off stronger than any movie I've seen in years, which is weird because it's an old movie. I had never seen it though. If you haven't seen it then you should definitely check it out. My main criticism with the movie is the second half. It can't keep up the intensity of the first half, but it doesn't completely fall apart either. I'm not sure if it was the way it was written or if the director took some things into his own hands, but it's pretty obvious to me that the movie just went in the wrong direction. What I'm talking about is the plot does some ridiculous thickening near the end, not like a big twist or anything like that, but I felt that the theme of the movie was interrupted by the story.

So was the movie good? Yeah it was good. I don't want to ruin anything because this is the first good movie I've reviewed on my site, so I won't give any spoiling details. The movie almost seems like a libertarian fantasy, but be not afraid the movie is not some political slander. Well not more than any other movie anyways. I can see how you might not like the movie though. Maybe the second half will just ruin it for you, maybe you are an asshole (the first part would bother you), but it's worth a try fo sho.

Bottom Line: Worth a watch.
